Civil Service Vacancies for the Week of November 13, 2023

Applications and all qualifying credentials such as official transcripts, certifications, licenses and DD 214 must be submitted for the current vacancies no later than 12:00 noon, Thursday, November 16, 2023.

All current vacancies are now posted in HireTouch and applicants must complete a HireTouch profile and Civil Service Application in HireTouch.

Current SIUC Employees can now complete a reassignment request and/or request(s) to test for Civil Service Classifications through the online HireTouch applicant portal. Instructions to complete these forms.

All Civil Service examinations given under the State Universities Civil Service System shall be open to all applicants who are citizens of or residents in the State of Illinois, and who can qualify by experience and training for the position for which application is made.

Vacancies:

There is a need for Police Telecommunicator Extra-Help employees at the Department of Public Safety. These are temporary positions limited to 900 hours or less with variable shifts. Interested applicants need to complete an Extra Help application located at: hr.siu.edu/employment/extra-help.php

*Note: The Police Telecommunicator is a security-sensitive position. Before any offer of employment is made, the University will conduct a pre-employment background investigation, which includes a criminal background check.*
