SIU is a major employer in the region and we care about our employees.  Faculty and staff can find a wide variety of helpful material within the Human Resources website. 

You can access your salary, payroll and benefits information in addition to various forms covering everything from tuition waivers to absence request forms to position description forms and much more.

Current SIU Carbondale Employee Requests

If you're already part of the SIU Carbondale team, you can now complete a reassignment request and/or request(s) to test for Civil Service Classifications through this special NeoEd portal.

Desk Audit vs. Temporary Upgrade

Desk Audit: May be an appropriate solution when:

  • An employee takes on additional duties outside the scope of their normal classification and duties permanently ​
    • Duties have been absorbed permanently as a result of a vacancy ​
    • Duties and responsibilities have grown or changed significantly over time

Temporary Upgrade: May be an appropriate solution when:​

  • An employee takes on additional duties outside the scope of their normal position and duties, but only temporarily
    • Absorbing duties from a temporary vacancy ​
    • Special project or initiative that has a definitive end date

There are 3 ways an employee can update their residential address with SIU:
