NeoEd Online Hiring Center (OHC) is used to manage recruitment for faculty and administrative/professional positions. This process helps keep things clear, organized, and moving smoothly from start to finish. Below is a general overfiew of this process or you can view the detailed NEOED recruiting guide
General Hiring Workflow
- Create & Submit Requisition
- Initiate a requisition in NeoEd.
- Include search/interview committee members.
- Await approval and status change to “Open.”
- Customize the Hire Workflow
- Go to the “Hire Workflow” tab and select “Customize Workflow.” Edit key steps: Application Review, Interview Requested, Interview.
- Add hiring team, configure rating scales, and set candidate status messages.
- Application Management
- Hiring Manager receives email when applications arrive.
- Move applicants to “Application Review” status.
- Add committee members to allow access.
- Committee reviews applications, rates candidates, and adds comments.
- Ratings are averaged; applicants below threshold are excluded from interviews.
- Interview Request
- Move finalists to “Interview Requested” status.
- Affirmative Action reviews and moves candidates to “Interview” status.
- Note: Only Affirmative Action can move candidates into the Interview step.
- Interview Scheduling
- Choose manual or self-scheduling via NeoEd.
- Configure interview slots, dates, breaks, and rater notifications.
- Send interview invitations using NeoEd’s “Send Notices” feature.
- Conduct Interviews
- Committee conducts interviews as scheduled.
- Record interview details in NeoEd for audit purposes.
- Post-Interview Actions
- Committee provides feedback to Hiring Manager.
- Move non-selected candidates to “Rejected” status with reasons.
- Move selected candidate to “Offered” status.
- Offer Approval
- Complete the Offer Approval Form (replaces Hiring Proposal and NOA).
- Include offer details, start date, acceptance deadline, and employment terms.
- Communicate Offer & Onboard
- Communicate offer via phone or email.
- Upon acceptance, initiate Notice of Appointment and Adobe Sign onboarding packet.
- Submit hire form in NeoEd and move candidate to “Hired” status.
- Finalize Recruitment
- Send rejection notices to all non-selected applicants.
- Affirmative Action closes the recruitment and marks the position as filled.
